EMDR Platform attaches great importance to the protection of and careful handling of your personal data. In this privacy statement we want to provide clear and transparent information on how we deal with personal data. Below you will find the extensive privacy statement of EMDR Platform. In summary, this concerns the following: EMDR Platform does NOT ask for client data, only the data of the therapist are requested when creating an account or filling in the contact form. During sessions, image and sound are communicated through a direct, encrypted peer-to-peer connection between the therapist and the client. This means that nothing can be stored and no one can watch or listen to it. On the EMDR platform website (www.emdr-platform.com), privacy-sensitive data in the form of personal data is processed. This only applies to visitors to the website (via the general contact form) or therapists (when creating an account). Personal data of the clients are not requested and are therefore not processed by EMDR Platform. The image and sound between therapist and client is communicated via a direct, secure connection. Visitors to the website
The website www.emdr-platform.com is hosted on servers in Europe, which are ISO270001, ISO 22301 and ISO9001 certified. All communication with the website is via secure connections (SSL). The website does NOT use cookies or external visitor statistics that store personal data. The website is equipped with a possibility to contact us by means of a contact form. In this form, the name, telephone number and email address of the visitor are requested. This data is exclusively used by EMDR Platform for the handling of the visitor's question or comment and is not shared with third parties. After the question or comment of the visitor has been dealt with, the aforementioned data are removed by EMDR Platform.
Therapists with an account
If visitors decide to create a (free) account, for example psychologists or psychotherapists, they become a therapist. EMDR Platform does not check whether the therapist actually has the required qualifications to treat clients and does not accept any responsibility or liability in this respect. This lies entirely with the therapist. When an account is created, EMDR Platform stores the name, telephone number and email address of the therapist on its server. All communication goes through secured connections (SSL). The name and email address are then used for logging into EMDR Platform, the telephone number and email address are exclusively used by EMDR Platform for correspondence about user experiences, updates and advertising. EMDR Platform will never share this information with third parties. As soon as the therapist decides to end the account, all information from the therapist is removed by EMDR Platform.
Clients
Clients are invited by the therapist using a unique and anonymous code, via a secure (SSL) connection. Nothing from the client is shared with or requested by EMDR Platform. The oral and non-verbal information that is exchanged via the direct, secure video call connection between the therapist and the client are not visible to EMDR Platform and therefore fall outside this privacy statement and the responsibility of EMDR Platform. For this we refer clients to the privacy statement of the therapist.
Changes to this privacy statement
We reserve the right to make changes to this privacy statement. It is recommended that you consult this privacy statement regularly so that you are aware of these changes.
